All while testing a selection of our world-class food vendors and enjoying the return of Kids Tennis Day on Saturday 14 January.

What is included in an Australian Open Qualifying competition ticket?

This year the Qualifying competition is ticketed.

Your ticket includes access to matches and activities across:

  • Outdoor courts, including Show Courts
  • Kia Arena
  • Rod Laver Arena open practices (schedule).
  • Garden Square


Note: Not all areas of the AO precinct will be accessible to patrons during Qualifying.

*Not all outlets will be open during Qualifying competition


Which gates can I enter through for the AO Qualifying competition and what are the gate opening times?

There will only be two entrances open for patrons to access Melbourne Park:

  • Garden Square entrance
  • Grand Slam Oval entrance


For patrons arriving by public transport, please note there are major disruptions in the Alamein, Sandringham, Cranbourne, Pakenham, Frankston, Stony Point, Gippsland lines, and the city loop during the Qualifying competition.

What's included in a Tennis Plays for Peace ticket?

A Tennis Plays for Peace ticket will provide you access to Rod Laver Arena for the special charity event.

You will not be able to access Melbourne Park before 4:30pm.

You will be able to watch the Australian Open qualifying competition on Wednesday 11 Jan from 4:30pm. You will have access to all open amenities, food and beverage outlets.

You will need to purchase an Australian Open qualifying competition ticket if you wish to attend before 4:30pm.


What time can I access the precinct and arena for the Tennis Plays for Peace event?

Gates open at 4:30pm for Tennis Plays for Peace ticket holders. There will only be 2 entrances open to access Melbourne Park:

  • Garden Square entrance
  • Grand Slam Oval entrance


Doors to Rod Laver Arena will open from 5:00pm for food and beverage outlets, Australian Open shops and amenities.

You will be able to access your seats from 5:30pm, ready for the event start time of 6:30pm.


Is parking available?

There is no parking on-site during the Qualifying competition. For patrons looking to park close by, visit the Yarra Park website for alternative parking options.
